Opthocare – KT eye drops contain moxifloxacin and ketorolac tromethamine. It is a topical Anti-infective and anti-inflammatory eye drop combination for dogs and cats. 1 Drop in the affected eye(s) 3 times daily for 7 days for bacterial conjunctivitis in adults and not recommended to pets below the age of 1 year.
Ingredients & Composition:
- Each ml of Opthocare – KT eye drop contains.
- Moxifloxacin HCl IP (Equivalent to moxifloxacin) 0.5 % W/V.
- Ketorolac Tromethamine IP 0.5% w/V.
- Benzalkonium Chloride Solution (as preservative) 0.02% w/V.
- Sterile aqueous vehicle q.s.
Indication / Uses:
- Opthocare – KT eye drop is indicated.
- To treat certain kinds of inflammation within the eye.
- Mixed infections like conjunctivitis & bacterial infection.
- Anti-bacterial & Anti-inflammatory.
- A potent pain relief.
Dosage and administration:
- 1 Drop in the affected eye(s) 3 times daily for 7 days for bacterial conjunctivitis in adults and should not be prescribed to pets below the age of 1 year.
- Overdoses / Side effects / Contraindications /Warnings:
- An overdose of topical application of eye drops is unlikely to occur and if this happens seek for veterinarian’s advice. In the case of adverse reactions like irritation or increased redness, discontinue the treatment immediately and consult your veterinarian.
Pharmaceutical precautions / Instructions:
- Store below 30°C in a dry place. Protect from heat, moisture, and direct sunlight.
- Avoid contaminating the solution by touching the nozzle and discard it if it has been a long time since it has been opened. Keep out of reach of children.
- Strictly for veterinary use/animal treatment.
Safety: Age / Pregnancy/ Withdrawal:
- The manufacturer has not mentioned safety for use in breeding/ pregnant animals. Use in pets below one year of age is not recommended. Do not use it if you see a change in the color of eye drops or any precipitation.
- It has no reported withdrawal side effects.
