Dogs are active during day time. Playing and running around during the daytime and sleeping at night just like humans. But when it comes to sharing the bed with dogs is better or worse for human health, is very difficult to say.

Dogs are generally close to humans. They are familiar with the daily routine work done by a human. Cuddling with your dog in bed might give you warmth. But in certain situations, letting your dog sleep in your bed could be harmful to you.

A dog should not sleep in your bed until properly trained. They should be crate trained and potty trained. A puppy won't go out for the bathroom from its crate because it can't get away from it. But it can get off the bed and go on the floor.

The puppy needs to understand that the crate is a safe and happy place for them to reduce the risk of fear of separation and stress.

Dog behavior consultant and professional dog trainer, advises to keep their dogs out of their beds if they are doing any of the following:

Freezing, growling, snarling, snapping, digging or chewing bed linen, or biting when being picked up off the bed. Only when those behaviors have stopped after training. Now you can allow your dog back in your bed.

You want to be hygienic and healthy and want to sleep or sit next to your dog. There is some possibility of risk with sleeping with your dog.

If your dog has a zoonotic disease, a disease that can spread from animal to human, there is a chance you may also get affected by that disease.

Another issue some dog owners may see is if they have pet’s allergies increase in their allergy symptoms due to the closeness to each other while sleeping with their pet.

Sometimes, your dog's health may be in danger if you allow your dog to sleep in your bed. If your pet is badly in pain or has back, neck or orthopedic pain, jumping on and off the bed could be harmful to him.
There is nothing wrong with letting your dog sleep on the bed. It will neither have any negative behavior results nor will it make your dog revolt against you. You will have a great bonding experience if you allow your dog to sleep in your bed.

A dog whom you trust can make you feel safer, especially during the night you can have a peaceful sleep. As long as your dog is healthy, well trained and does not disturb you or wake you up often in the night, feel free and let your pup sleep wherever they feel like.
