Features:
PetLac is a complete food source for orphaned or rejected puppies. For use as a nursing supplement, for orphaned puppies newborn to 6 weeks of age, to assist in weaning, or for older dogs requiring additional nutrition. Supplies vitamins, minerals, and amino acids required for proper growth and development.
Contains FOS and live naturally occurring microorganisms. Guaranteed total live (viable) lactic acid-producing bacteria: 130 thousand colony-forming units (CFU) per g of powder (lactobacillus casei, lactobacillus fermentum, lactobacillus acidophilus, lactobacillus Plantarum, Enterococcus faecium, Bifidobacterium bifidum, perdiococcus acidilactici.)
PetLac contains no soy protein, but only milk protein of the highest nutritional value. PetLac may be given like mother's milk to the infant and as a supplement to the adult.
Directions:
Gently shake or stir one part of powdered Pet Lac into two parts of warm water. A part is any measuring device you use: a teaspoon, tablespoon, or cup. Do not use a blender. All animals should receive their mother's milk for at least 2 days, if possible. Colostrum milk gives extra nutrition and temporary immunity against some diseases.
Reconstituted Pet Lac should be fed at room temperature. Reconstituted Pet Lac may be fed at the daily rate of 1 tablespoon (15 mL) per 2 ounces (57 g) body weight. The daily feeding rate should be divided into equal portions for each feeding.
Animals' needs will vary and this amount may have to be increased or decreased, depending on the individual. Larger animals do well when fed reconstituted Pet Lac every 8 hours. Small or weak animals may need to be fed reconstituted amounts every 3 or 4 hours. Weigh the animal 3 times a week to ensure adequate feeding. Consult your veterinarian for advice. Not for human consumption.
When a food supplement is desired, for growing animals or for supplementing large litters, old or convalescent animals, Pet Lac Powder should be used at the rate of 1 teaspoonful per 5 lbs (2.2kg) body weight. Pregnant and lactating mothers: Mix Pet Lac Powder into the daily ratio at the rate of 2 tablespoons per 5 lbs (2.2 kg) body weight until 2 weeks after whelping.
Pet Lac Powder should be refrigerated after opening. Discard unused portions after one month.
